RESOURCE OF THE MONTH

This month we are featuring the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) as a follow-up to our September program with Annie Polland, Executive Director of AJHS. The American Jewish Historical Society is the oldest ethnic, cultural archive in the United States. AJHS provides access to more than 30 million documents and 50,000 books, photographs, art and artifacts that reflect the history of the Jewish presence in the United States from 1654 to the present.

JGSGB NEWS

The Society will present a Beginners Workshop in Jewish Genealogy for newcomers and novices on Sunday, November 4, from 10-12 noon at Temple Beth El-Atereth Israel in Newton. We will also continue to offer our annual 8-session comprehensive beginner’s course, Jewish Genealogy: Discover Your Family History, at Hebrew College in March 2019. More information on both will be available on our website.

First-time members who join this fall will get full 2019 Membership plus the fall 2018 programs for the basic annual membership fee – 16 months for $25!
