The JGSGB Book Group had its first meeting in January of 2020. Originally meeting in member’s homes, the group has gone virtual.
Joining the group is an ideal way for our members to get to know each other in a relaxed, informal setting while reading and discussing books of interest. The Book Group chooses books, fiction or non-fiction, with genealogical content or ones that are set in times and places that our ancestors once lived, both in the US and abroad. The group meets every 6-8 weeks.
Our next meeting is Dec. 21 2021 at 7:30 PM via Zoom. If you would would like to join the Book Group, just let me know by sending your name and email address to Bookgroup@jgsgb.org.
Many JGSGB members have expressed an interest in seeing what the Book Group has been reading. Here is a list of the books we have read to date.
The Song of the Jade Lily by Kirsty Manning
World of Our Fathers by Irving Howe
