The purpose of the German SIG is to enable members to exchange information, resources, and strategies to help one another further their genealogical research. Our focus is on the European regions that merged to form the first German state in 1871.
Members of the SIG will determine the topics and format of the meetings. Activities may include presentations by members and guests; discussions of useful archives, collections, and websites; and informal sharing of brick walls and discoveries. The SIG maintains an online repository of handouts, articles, and links relevant to German-Jewish genealogy. If you are interested in joining the JGSGB German SIG, please contact the Coordinator at German@jgsgb.org for more information.
