Neville Frankel – Unearthing Family Lore: Behind the Scenes of a Novelist’s Journey

Neville Frankel’s works of historical fiction bring to life the stories that he uncovered in researching his family history.  This talk provides an unusual, personal look at the fact-finding process into his ancestry dating back to Latvia, Russia, Germany and South Africa during the 19th and 20th centuries.  His journey puts us in touch with rich family narratives connecting one generation to the next.

Neville Frankel
is an Emmy award winning writer.  His novel On the Sickle’s Edge was a 2017 National Jewish Book award finalist. Neville graduated from Dartmouth College and did doctoral work in English literature at the University of Toronto. He has given presentations at over On the Sickle's Edge - Frankel100 venues across the country.

 

 

 


Admission is free for members, $5 for non-members. Refreshments will be served.
