Join author Jordan Salama as he discusses his new book Stranger in the Desert: A Family Story, an intergenerational story about his search across Argentina for traces of his great-grandfather, a Syrian Jewish traveling salesman in the Andes. Salama used a variety of methods to ferret out the details of this fascinating family story.

Bio:

Jordan Salama is an American writer of Argentine, Syrian, and Iraqi Jewish descent who covers culture and migration in the Americas. His work has appeared in National Geographic, New York Magazine, Smithsonian, and many other publications. He is the author of two books about South America.
