Program Description:
Transport yourself back in time on this virtual tour exploring the rich history, political landscape, and heritage of Romanian Jews — from the days of the Roman Empire, through the flourishing community of the 18th and 19th centuries, to the dramatic events of the last era. Our journey will take you to Bucharest and its iconic Great Synagogue (1847) and unveil stories of Jewish life in smaller towns. This visual narrative is filled with photographs and stories illuminating Jewish Romania.
