Carol Clingan and Debbie Lerner, who together have more than 30 years of genealogy research experience, will present a workshop tailored for beginners on the process of researching your family tree. They will describe in detail the sources and records that are most helpful to beginners and present a case study demonstrating a successful search. Their core message is that you CAN research your family tree and will be off to a great start after you attend this workshop.
The fee for the Beginners Workshop is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Pay for the workshop at the door. The $15 non-member fee will also include admission to the 1:30 pm program, Nolan Altman’s lecture, “The Genealogical Value of Jewish Burial Records.”
There will be an optional Buffet Lunch (kosher) at 12 Noon for $18. Advance reservations for the lunch are required and must be purchased online by October 9. Lunch cannot be purchased at the event. Click here for more information and to register for the Buffet Lunch.
